EyeSouth was a platinum sponsor of the three-day Southern Eye Congress, which took place July 25-28, 2019. This annual event is a collaborative society of eye care providers from states within the South that foster communication between leading eye surgeons and technicians. Our affiliated providers pictured from left to right; Dr. Gabianelli (Georgia Eye Partners)Dr. Chapman (Gainesville Eye)Dr. Mitchell (Montgomery Eye Partners), and Dr. Schoenberg (Georgia Eye Partners) were all presenters at the conference and hosted the Saturday night cocktail social event, which was sponsored by EyeSouth.

On Saturday, May 4, 2019, Dr. Andrew Feinberg of Georgia Eye Partners will be dancing in the 10th Annual Dancing Stars of Atlanta, joined by professional dancer Massey Turpin. Dancing Stars of Atlanta is one of the top fundraising events for the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter, and all funds raised go towards supporting Alzheimer’s research and programs for those affected with Alzheimer’s and their families.

Dr. Krishna Mukkamala, a Georgia Retina physician and president of the Atlanta Ophthalmology Society, organized and funded a vision clinic at the Atlanta Mission along with The Lighthouse. 33 homeless men were treated for eye conditions and will be delivered free eyeglasses as needed.

Georgia Eye Partners and Georgia Retina were the presenting sponsors for the Swing Fore Sight Golf Tournament, benefitting Prevent Blindness Georgia (PBGA) and honoring Dr. Eugene Gabianelli of Georgia Eye Partners. All proceeds raised supported PBGA’s sight-saving programs, “Vision Outreach” and “Star Pupils.”

Dr. Jack Chapman of Gainesville Eye Associates was presented the Outstanding Healthcare Professional Award at the Greater Hall County Chamber of Commerce.

Georgia Retina Vision Walk

The 2018 Georgia Retina Vision Walk was a great success! This walk benefitted The Foundation Fighting Blindness.

Several EyeSouth-affiliated physicians were recognized as “Top Doctors” by Atlanta magazine.

A group of Georgia Retina doctors were able to volunteer for The Atlanta Community Food Banks, which distributes over 50 million meals to more than 755,000 people in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

Georgia Ophthalmology Associates loved having a presence at the Generations Expo: 50+ Boomers & Seniors, an event focused on healthy aging.

Gainesville Eye Associates were silver sponsors of the Greater Hall Chamber’s 11th Annual HealthSmart Interactive Wellness Expo.
