Latonya Izzard, J.D.
Chief Compliance Officer
Latonya serves as the Chief Compliance Officer for EyeSouth Partners. In this role, she focuses on the overall strategy for regulatory compliance and risk management, ultimately ensuring that each EyeSouth practice meets their compliance objectives.
Her professional experience includes helping multi-site and multi-state healthcare organizations navigate complex regulatory issues, manage organizational risks, and create policies and procedures that help curtail potential litigation. Before joining EyeSouth Partners, Latonya served as the Chief Compliance Officer for The Corvallis Clinic, a multi-specialty physician group in Corvallis, Oregon, and CareFirst Urgent Cares, an urgent care company with headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Prior to dedicating her career to healthcare compliance, Latonya worked as a non-litigation associate for a Maryland based personal injury law firm, where she primarily focused on medical malpractice, mass tort, and nursing home negligence matters.
Latonya earned her B.A. in Political Science from Howard University. She received her Juris Doctorate from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School.
In her leisure time, Latonya enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family and friends.
